Villa de Cos
The Municipality of Villa de Cos is one of the 58 municipalities in the state of Zacatecas, Mexico. It is located in the center-east of the state, adjacent to the municipalities of Mazapil, Francisco R. Murguia, Felipe Pescador, Fresnillo, Pánuco, Guadalupe and Santo Domingo in the neighboring State of San Luis Potosí. It has an area of 6,405 km² occupying 8.53% of the territory of the state. The municipal seat is in the town of Villa de Cos. According to INEGI figures, in 2010 it had a population of 34,350 inhabitants. Its main economic activity is the harvest of chili and the fattening of cattle.
