Nochistlán de Mejía
Nochistlán is a city and municipal seat located in the municipality of Nochistlán de Mejía in the southern state of Zacatecas, Mexico. Its foundation dates back to 1532, so it is considered the second oldest municipal seat in the state of Zacatecas, behind García de la Cadena. It was declared as Magical Town on November 26,2012. In this place the city of Guadalajara was founded for the first time, to be later moved to the Valley of Atemajac, its penultimate address. The city of Nochistlán has always been characterized by the beauty of its farms and has recently been included in the program Magical Towns, by the Ministry of Tourism, for its traditions, customs, legends and architecture.
