The municipality of Úrsulo Galván is one of the 212 municipalities of the State of Veracruz, part of the Veracruz Sotavento region, at the coordinates 19°24 "north latitude and 96°22" west longitude, with a height of 20 meters above sea level. It receives its name in honor of Úrsulo Galván Reyes, agrarian wrestler from Actopan, who together with other peasant leaders of the area, created the Foundation of the League of Agrarian Communities and Peasant Unions of the State of Veracruz. The municipality of Ursulo Galván is made up of 20 towns in which 26,909 people live.
It is a municipality categorized as semi-urban, with an economically active population that fluctuates between 22 to 45 years of age, presenting a regularly warm tropical climate with abundant rainfall in summer and some more in autumn.
