The municipality of Hueyapan de Ocampo is located in the southern area of the state of Veracruz in the Tuxtlas region, it is one of the 212 municipalities of the state. It is located at the coordinates 18°09 "north latitude and 95°09" west longitude, and has a height of 20 meters above sea level. In Juan Díaz Covarrubias, it is the town where the economy, commerce and services and main roads of the municipality of Hueyapan de Ocampo rest. The municipality is made up of 103 localities in which 38,175 people live. Its limits are: North: Catemaco and San Andrés Tuxtla. South: Acayucan. East: Soteapan.
West: Isla, Juan Rodríguez Clara and Santiago TuxtlaHueyapan de Ocampo has a mainly hot and humid climate, it has abundant rains in summer and some in early autumn. The municipality of Hueyapan de Ocampo has its celebrations in March, on the 19th where San José is celebrated, patron of the place, in the months of April the carnival is celebrated and also in that municipality the feasts to the Virgin of Guadalupe take place in the month of December.
