Atltzayanca
Atltzayanca is one of the 60 municipalities that constitute the Mexican state of Tlaxcala. It is located east of the state and approximately 48 kilometers east of the city of Tlaxcala de Xicohténcatl. It has a territorial extension of 141,520 km². According to the II Population and Housing Count of 2005, the municipality has 14,333 inhabitants, of which 7,122 are men and 7,211 are women, its name comes from the Nahuatl "Azayancan" and this one, in turn, from the word "Atl" which means Water, as well as the word "Tzayani", which translates as Rompe and,"Can", locative of Place and is interpreted as: "Place where the waters break".
