Tenosique
For the city see: Tenosique de Pino Suárez. Tenosique is a municipality in the Mexican state of Tabasco. Located in the region of the Usumacinta River and in the subregion of the Rivers, its municipal seat is the city of Tenosique de Pino Suárez and it has a division constituted, in addition, by 73 ejidos, 15 rancherías and 11 towns. Its extension is 2,098.1 km², which correspond to 7.55% of the total state. This places the municipality in the sixth place in territorial extension. The municipality of Tenosique limits to the north with the municipality of Balancán, to the south and east with the Republic of Guatemala, and to the west with the municipality of Emiliano Zapata and with the state of Chiapas.
