San Ignacio
San Ignacio is a small city in the southern part of the state of Sinaloa. It is the head of the homonymous municipality. The city is also known as San Ignacio de Loyola. According to the 2010 census, it had a population of 4,543 inhabitants. It is located at an approximate distance of 180 km from Culiacán Rosales, 100 km from the port of Mazatlán and 385 km from Los Mochis. San Ignacio is being affected by the theft of cattle and eviction of families from the sierra.
