Tehuacán
Tehuacán is one of the 217 municipalities that make up the Mexican state of Puebla. It is also known as the "cradle of corn", because the ancient vestiges of the cultivation of this grass were found in the city. The population, according to the INEGI, until 2015 is 319 375 inhabitants, being the second most populated and important city of the State of Puebla behind the Capital Puebla. It is part of the metropolitan area of Tehuacán in conjunction with the municipality of Santiago Miahuatlan.
