Heroica Ciudad de Ejutla de Crespo is one of the 570 municipalities in which the Mexican state of Oaxaca is divided. It is located in the central part of the state. The head is Ejutla de Crespo. Other important locations include the Arrogant Justo Benitez, Barranca Larga, La Ermita, La Escalera, Hacienda Vieja, Monte del Toro, La Noria de Ortiz, La Noria, Nuevo Venustiano Carranza, Los Ocotes, Rinconada de San Diego, San Joaquín, San José de las Huertas, San Juan Coatecas Bajas, San Juan Logolava, San Matias Chilazoa, Santa Cruz Nexila, Santa Martha Chichihualtepec, El Sauz, San Isidro del Camino, Zoritana, Yogoseve, Puga and Colmenares, La Cieneguilla, La Lobera, Peña Larga and The Copal. The name "Ejutla" means "where the green bean abounds".
His last name is to honor the priest Manuel Sabino Crespo. In the year 1524 the Zapotec village of Ejutla was established but until the year of 1866 it was declared "Heroic" to the can of Ejutla. The municipality is part of the central valleys of the Ejutla District between El Mexicano and El Labrador hills. Its climate is temperate, with an average temperature of 20º C. Among the main flowers of the municipality is the lily and sunflower, as well as edible plants, quintile and purslane, eucalyptus, ash, walnut, pine and jacaranda. The fauna includes wild birds such as ducks and goose, wild animals such as wild boar and squirrels, aquatic species such as trout and mojarra and reptiles such as the rattlesnake, deaf viper and coral snake.
