Uruapan
Uruapan del Progreso is the second most important city and the second most populated city in the Mexican state of Michoacán. It is the head of the municipality of Uruapan. It has a temperate climate, exuberant vegetation and has a large annual production of avocado, which is why it is known as "the avocado capital of the world". It is also considered the point of union between the Tierra Caliente region and the Purépecha plateau.
