Morelia is a Mexican city, capital of the state of Michoacán de Ocampo and head of the homonymous municipality. The city is located in the valley of Guayangareo, formed by a retreat of the Transverse Neovolcanic Axis, in the Morelia region of the state, in the center-west of the country.
