Amatitán
Amatitán is a municipality and population of the state of Jalisco, Mexico. It is located in the Valleys Region. Its name comes from the Nahuatl -Amatl and an and means "Together with the Amates", its territorial extension is of 207.44 km2. According to the II count of population and housing, the municipality has 13,435 inhabitants and they are mainly dedicated to the primary and secondary sector. Amatitán is known to be one of the most important tequila producers in the world, where this drink originated.
