The municipality of Tasquillo is one of the eighty-four municipalities that make up the state of Hidalgo in Mexico. Whose municipal seat is the town of Tasquillo. The municipality is located to the west of the Hidalgo territory between the parallels 20°27 'and 20°37' north latitude. The meridians 99°14 'and 99º 30' of west longitude. With an altitude between 1500 and 2300 meters above sea level, this municipality has an area of 240.01 km2, and represents 1.15% of the state's surface, within the geographical region known as Valle del Mezquital. It borders to the north with the municipalities of Tecozautla and Zimapán. To the east with the municipality of Ixmiquilpan. To the south with the municipality of Alfajayucan.
