The municipality of Singuilucan is one of the eighty-four municipalities that make up the state of Hidalgo in Mexico. Whose municipal seat is the locality of Singuilucan. The municipality is located to the southeast of the Hidalgo territory between the parallels 19°52 'and 20°08' of north latitude. The meridians 98°21 'and 98°38' west longitude. With an altitude between 2400 and 3100 meters above sea level, this municipality has an area of 420.21 km2, and represents 2.02% of the state's surface, within the geographical region known as Valle de Tulancingo. It borders to the north with the municipalities of Omitlán de Juárez, Huasca de Ocampo, Acatlán, Tulancingo de Bravo and Santiago Tulantepec de Lugo Guerrero.
To the east with the municipalities of Santiago Tulantepec de Lugo Guerrero and Cuautepec de Hinojosa. To the south with the municipalities of Tepeapulco, Tlanalapa and Zempoala. To the west with the municipalities of Zempoala and Epazoyucan.
