The municipality of Jacala de Ledezma is one of the eighty-four municipalities that make up the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. Whose municipal seat is the town of Jacala. The municipality is located northwest of the Hidalgo territory between the parallels 20°48 'and 21°08' north latitude. The meridians 99°01 'and 99°16' west longitude. With an altitude between 400 and 2500 meters above sea level, this municipality has an area of 440.95 km2, and represents 2.12% of the state's surface, within the geographical region known as Sierra Gorda. It borders to the north with the municipalities of La Misión and Tlahuiltepa. To the east with the municipalities of Tlahuiltepa and Nicolas Flores. To the south with the municipalities of Nicolás Flores and Zimapán.
To the west with the municipalities of Zimapán, Pacula and the state of Querétaro.
