Peñón Blanco
Peñon Blanco is one of 39 municipalities in the state of Durango in northwestern Mexico. The chief town is the town of Peñón Blanco. The municipality covers an area of 1827 km2. In 2010, the municipality had a total population of 10473 inhabitants, against 9891 inhabitants in 2005. In 2010, the city of Peñón Blanco had a population of 5271 inhabitants. The municipality has 103 localities, the most important of which are: General Jesús Agustín Castro, classified as rural.
