Tila
Tila is one of the 119 municipalities in the state of Chiapas in southeastern Mexico. It is located in the limits of the Northern Mountains and the Coastal Plain of the Gulf of Mexico. It belongs to the Selva region and has 133 locations. It has a total population of 71,432 inhabitants, covering an area of 705.5 km². The Tila Ejido, has been and is the ceremonial center of the venerated Black Christ "Señor de Tila", which gathers January 15, Holy Week and Corpus Christi, a large number of Ch'ol pilgrims and pilgrims in general arriving from many and very diverse places in the Mexican Republic.
