Cheshire East
Cheshire East is a unitary authority with borough status in Cheshire, England. It was created in April 2009 by the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007. It brings together the former districts of Macclesfield, Congleton and Crewe and Nantwich, and takes on the skills of the former Cheshire County Council. The other three former districts of Cheshire also merge to form the unitary authority of Cheshire West and Chester.
