Yakima County
Yakima County is one of the 39 counties of the US state of Washington. The yakama tribe takes its name. In 2007 its population was 281,631 inhabitants. Its headquarters is Yakima, which is also its largest city. Yakima County was created from Ferguson County on January 21,1865. Ferguson County, which no longer exists, had been created from Walla Walla County on January 23,1863.
