Box Elder County
Box Elder is a county in the state of Utah, United States. It is located north of the Great Salt Lake, bordering the North with the border of Idaho and the West with Nevada. It has large tracts of barren desert, countering with high mountains full of trees. The Wasatch Front is located along the southeast border, where the main cities are located. According to the 2000 census, the population was 42,745 inhabitants, with a small increase compared to 1990, when it had 36,485 inhabitants. It is estimated that in 2005 it had 46,440 inhabitants. It receives the name of the old trees that abound in the county. Its capital and largest city is Brigham City.
