Carson City
Carson City is the capital of the state of Nevada, in the United States of America. In the 2000 census, the resulting population was 52,457 inhabitants. Carson City is now an independent city, so it is not part of any county. It is located in the western part of the state, a few kilometers south of Reno. Like many cities and towns in Nevada, Carson City was founded in the boom years of the search for mines and minerals, which in the case of Carson City was silver.
