Inyo County
Inyo County is one of the 58 counties of the US state of California. The county seat is Independence and its largest city Bishop. The county has an area of 26 488 km2, a population of 17 945 inhabitants, and the population density is 1 inhab / km2. This county was founded in 1866. The highest point of the 48 contiguous US states, Mount Whitney, is located in Inyo County. The lowest point in the whole country is the Valley of Death, also located in Inyo.
