Chester County
Chester County, founded in 1682, is one of 67 counties in the US state of Pennsylvania. In the year 2010 it had a population of 498,886 inhabitants with a population density of 253.50 people per km². The county seat is West Chester. Chester County is one of the first three Pennsylvania counties to be created by William Penn in 1682. It receives its name from Cheshire, England. The county is part of the Delaware Valley area, and is the only county in the Delaware Valley, Pennsylvania, but not with the Philadelphia border, although it is nearby.
