Columbia County
Columbia County is a county located in the US state of New York, United States. In the census conducted in 2000, this jurisdiction reached a population of 63,094 inhabitants. The county seat is the city of Hudson. Its name derives from the feminine expression of the patronymic of Christopher Columbus, who, at the time of the foundation of the territory, enjoyed a large number of adherents to serve as a name to the United States of America.
