Fluvanna County
The County of Fluvanna is a county in the US state of Virginia. At the 2000 census the county had a population of 20,047 inhabitants. It is part of the Charlottesville metropolitan area. The county seat is Palmyra. The county was formed in 1777 from a portion of Albemarle County. It was named after the river Fluvanna, the name given to the James River west of Columbia.
