Fauquier County
Fauquier County is a county in the US state of Virginia. In the 2000 census the county had a population of 55,139 inhabitants. It is part of the Washington DC metropolitan area The county seat is Warrenton County The county was formed on May 1,1759 from a portion of Prince William County. It was named in honor of Francis Fauquier, who was the Vice Governor of Virginia at the time.
