Hays County
Hays County is one of the 254 counties of the US state of Texas. The seat of the county is San Marcos, like its greater city. The county has an area of 1,761 km² and a population of 97,589 inhabitants, for a population density of 56 hab / km². This county was founded in 1848. Its name is due to John Coffee Hays, he was a warrior leader of Texas and a Mexican-American War Officer.
