Pickaway County
Pickaway County, founded in 1810, is one of 92 counties in the US state of Ohio. In the year 2000, the county had a population of 52,727 inhabitants and a population density of 41 people per km². The county seat is Circleville, the county is named after the pekowi tribe, a branch of the shawnee, or a variant of the native word "piqua." The county is part of the Columbus metropolitan area.
