Camden County
Camden County is a county in the US state of Missouri. In the 2000 census the county had a population of 37,051 inhabitants. The county seat is Camdenton. The county was founded in 1841 under the name of Kinderhook County. However in 1843 the name was changed to the current one in honor of Charles Pratt, 1st Earl Camden, Lord Chancellor and one of the leaders of the Whig party.
