Callaway County
Callaway County is a county in the US state of Missouri. In the 2000 census the county had a population of 40,766 inhabitants. It is part of the Jefferson City metropolitan area. The county seat is Fulton. The county was founded in 1820 and was named after Captain James Callaway, a soldier who died fighting against the Amerindians. The Callaway Nuclear Power Plant is located within the county.
