Douglas County
Douglas County, founded in 1859, is one of 102 counties in the US state of Illinois. In the year 2000, the county had a population of 88,969 inhabitants and a population density of 18 people per km². The county seat is Tuscola, and the county is named after Stephen A. Douglas.
