Fulton County
Fulton County is a county in the US state of Georgia. In the 2000 census the county had a population of 816,006 inhabitants. The county seat is Atlanta, the state capital since 1868 and the principal city of the Atlanta metropolitan area. According to estimates from the Census Bureau, the county's population in 2009 was 1,033,756, making it the first county in Georgia to surpass the one million mark.
