Forsyth County
Forsyth County is a county in the US state of Georgia. In the 2000 census the county had a population of 98,407 inhabitants. It is part of the metropolitan area of Atlanta. The county seat is Cumming. The county was founded in 1832 along with nine other counties from Cherokee County. It was named in honor of John Forsyth, who was governor of Georgia and Secretary of State of the United States.
