Barrow County
Barrow County is a county in the US state of Georgia. In the 2000 census the county had a population of 46,144 inhabitants. The county seat is Winder, the county is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. It was formed in 1914 from portions of Jackson, Gwinnett and Walton counties. It was named in honor of David Crenshaw Barrow, Jr., who was Chancellor of the University of Georgia.
