Province of El Loa
The province of El Loa is located east of the Antofagasta region, in Chile. It has an area of 42,934.1 km² and has a population of 177,048 inhabitants. The capital is the city of Calama. From it, copper is extracted, one of the most important minerals in the country. It is also characteristic for its desert climate and landscape. San Pedro de Atacama is a great tourist attraction.
