Departamento de Calingasta
Calingasta is a department of the province of San Juan. It is located in the extreme southwest of this province, where an Andean landscape predominates, of mountainous areas and large rivers. Activities are developed as agriculture, with production of fruits and vegetables, in the valleys, also stands out with importance the tourism mainly in the town of Barreal and with less development mining. Calingasta occupies 25% of the total provincial surface, making it the largest jurisdiction of the aforementioned province.
