Cantón Tena
Canton Tena is a subnational Ecuadorian territorial entity, of the Province of Napo. It is located on the valley of the Misahuallí River and is located at an altitude of 510 meters above sea level, in the Amazonian Region of Ecuador. Its average climate is 25 degrees Celsius, being warm-humid due to the presence of the forest. Its humidity is 90 to 100%. Tena has 15 561 inhabitants, in the canton live 51 640 inhabitants, 35 979 in the rural area. The city is divided into 1 parish, which is subdivided into neighborhoods. The city is the political center of the province, it houses the main governmental, cultural and commercial organizations of the Napo.
