Cantón Zaruma
The Canton Zaruma, is an Ecuadorian subnational territorial entity, whose cantonal head is the city of Zaruma, is a canton located in the province of El Oro, in the southeast of the Republic of Ecuador. According to the 2010 population census, the canton has 24,097 inhabitants. The Canton Zaruma was created on June 25,1824 by the Territorial Division Law of the Gran Colombia, and belonged until 1882 to the province of Loja.
