Departamento de Colón
Colón is a department of the east of the province of Entre Ríos in the Argentine Republic, which takes the name of its head, the city of Colón. It is the fourth smallest of the province with 2893 km² and the seventh most populated, with 62,160 inhabitants according to 2010 census. It is bordered on the west by the departments of San Salvador and Villaguay, on the north by the Concordia department, on the south by the department of Uruguay and to the east with the Oriental Republic of Uruguay.
