Itatí is a department of the province of Corrientes, in the northeast of Argentina, that occupies about 890 km² in the northern region of the province. It is bordered to the west by the department of San Cosme, to the south by San Luis del Palmar, to the east by Berón de Astrada and to the north by the Republic of Paraguay, from which it is separated by the Paraná River. The head of the department is the homonymous Itatí. According to the 2010 census, 9,917 people lived in the department at the time. Its main tourist attraction is the Basilica of Our Lady of Itatí, at the head of the department.
The Caá Verá Islands, located in Paraguayan waters of the Paraná River, belong to the department.
