Nogoyá is a department of the province of Entre Ríos in the Argentine Republic. It is the eighth smallest in the province with an area of 4282 km² and the seventh least populated, with 39 026 inhabitants according to 2010 census. It is bordered on the west by the Diamante department, on the north by the Paraná and Villaguay departments, on the south by the Victoria and Gualeguay departments and to the east with the Tala department. The department is crossed by the Nogoyá stream. According to the methodology used by the INDEC for the censuses of 1991,2001 and 2010, the Nogoyá department comprised 8 localities: Aranguren, Betbeder or Villa Matilde, Don Cristobal, Febre, Hernández, Lucas González, Nogoyá, XX de Septiembre.
