Surrey

Surrey is one of the forty-seven counties of England, United Kingdom, with capital in Guilford. Located in the Southeast region it borders on the northwest with Berkshire, on the north with Greater London, on the east with Kent, on the southeast with East Sussex, on the south with West Sussex and on the west with Hampshire. Surrey has around 1,000,000 inhabitants. The traditional capital Kingston upon Thames, has ceased to be part of the county due to the expansion of London. The current capital is Guildford which, despite having a cathedral, does not have the rank of city and in which the University of Surrey is located. Currently, the council is still located in Kingston although there are plans to move it to Woking.

It is divided into the districts of Elmbridge, Epsom and Ewell, Guildford, Mole Valley, Reigate and Banstead, Runnymede, Spelthorne, Surrey Heath, Tandridge, Waverley and Woking.
