Mtsjeta-Mtianeti is a region of Georgia. It has an area of 6,786 km², which in terms of extension is equivalent to half of Montenegro. Its population is 125,0443 inhabitants and its population density is 18.5 inhabitants / km2. The capital is Mtsjeta, of 7500 inhabitants, declared in 1994 like patrimony of the humanity by the Unesco. Through the region runs the Georgian Military Road, the main route that crosses the Caucasus Mountains from Tbilisi to Vladikavkaz. To the west it borders the region of Shida Kartli, to the south with Kvemo Kartli and Tbilisi, to the east with Kajeti and to the north with the border with Russia. El Mjare de Mtsjeta Mtianeti is a predominantly agricultural region.
In the southern part of the region, the cultivation of fruits and vegetables has been developed, while in the north, livestock farming is predominant in the mountainous areas of the districts of Kazbegui and Tianeti. The main crops in the region are: corn and fruit.3,000 hectares of land are dedicated to pastures. The industry is mainly concentrated in Mtsjeta and Dusheti. The most important ski resort in Georgia is in Gudauri, on the Georgian Military Road.
