Gegharkunik
Geghark'unik 'is one of the ten provinces of Armenia, located in the east of the country, next to the border with Azerbaijan. The majority of its surface is occupied by Lake Sevan, the main tourist attraction in the region. The provincial capital is the city of Gavar, of about 25,000 inhabitants. The total population of marz is 235,600 inhabitants. The territory of Geghark'unik 'includes the exclave of Artsvashen, located within the Azeri territory, and controlled at present by this same country.
