Nyeri
Nyeri County is a county of Kenya. It is located west of Mount Kenya and its capital is the municipality of Nyeri. Apart from Nyeri, there are two other local authorities in this county: the village of Othaya and the municipality of Karatina. The total population of the county is of 661 156 inhabitants according to the census of 2009. It is a mainly rural county, because good part of its territory is within two natural spaces: the national park of Aberdare to the west and the national park of Monte Kenya to the east.
