Makueni
Makueni County is a county in Kenya. It is located in the south of the country and its capital is Wote. Another important town is Makindu. The total population of the county is of 884 527 inhabitants according to the census of 2009. With an area of 8008.8 km ², is surrounded, in clockwise direction and beginning by the north, by the counties of Machakos, Kitui, Taita-Taveta and Kajiado. The wettest areas of the county reach ranges of 800-1200 mm of water per year, while the driest areas remain around 500 mm.
