Penuelas
Peñuelas is an autonomous municipality of Puerto Rico located on the southern coast. It is also known as "El Valle de los Flamboyanes" or "The capital of the güiro". It limits with Ponce to the east, Guayanilla to the west and Adjuntas to the north. His name is Peñolanos. Its current mayor is Walter Torres Maldonado. Peñuelas is divided into 12 neighborhoods and the town of Peñuelas, the administrative center and main town of the municipality. The origin of the name of this municipality is not known with exactitude, but perhaps derives from the word añascos, or, the name could also have derived from the Piña name.
