Herrera
Herrera is a Panamanian province located in the north of the Azuero peninsula and its head is the city of Chitré. Bordered north with the provinces of Veraguas and Coclé, south with the province of Los Santos, east with the Gulf of Parita and the province of Los Santos and west with the province of Veraguas specifically with the district of Mariato. It has an area of 2,340.7 km² and in 2008 it had a population of 111,647 inhabitants, a population estimated at 107,911 inhabitants in 2010. Place of passage between important sub-regions of the Azuero peninsula, through the Herrera province, there are two major routes : from south to north, the National highway. And from east to west, the Pan-American Highway.
