Durazno
Durazno is one of the nineteen departments that make up the Eastern Republic of Uruguay. Its capital is the city of the same name, Durazno. It is located in the center of the country, bounded on the north by the Negro River that separates it from the departments of Río Negro and Tacuarembó, on the east with Cerro Largo, on the southeast with Treinta y Tres, on the south with Florida and on the west with Flowers. With 57 088 inhabitants in 2011 it is the fourth least populated department - ahead of Río Negro, Treinta y Tres and Flores, the least populated - and with 4.90 inhabitants / km² it is the second least densely populated-ahead of Flores, the less densely populated.
