Tacuarembó
Tacuarembó is one of the nineteen departments that make up the Eastern Republic of Uruguay. Its capital is the city of the same name Tacuarembó. It is located in the northern center of the country, bounded on the northeast by Rivera, on the south by the Negro River that separates it from Cerro Largo and Durazno, and on the west by Río Negro, Paysandú and Salto. With 15 438 km² it is the most extensive department with 5.83 inhabitants / km², the fourth least densely populated, ahead of Treinta y Tres, Durazno and Flores, the least densely populated.
